Diving Industry Survey Results
Second Quarter 2006 Dive Business Survey
Cline's Quarterly Dive Industry Survey
is in, a total of 171 dive business responded to the survey,
and indicated the following results:
- All dive businesses saw, on average, a 4.5% increase
in their gross revenues for the 2nd Quarter of 2006 versus the
same period in 2005.
- Retailers specifically saw a 3.2% increase gross
revenues for this same period.
- New certifications were up 6.3% specifically for
Retailers and Independent Instructors
- Dive Travel Sales were down .9% specifically
for Retailers
- Dive Equipment sales were up 3.4% specifically for
Retailers
- 80.7% of the retailer respondents were from the
USA
- 66% of the retailer respondents were the facility
owner or manager.
